Christensen Semi Custom Yachts are built of composite fiberglass materials ranging from 115 feet to 165 ft in length and are built in full compliance with the American Bureau of Shipping and the U.K. Maritime and Coastguard Agency classification standards. Christensen has built molds that allow for a wide variety of layouts during construction. Their hulls are double cored cell approximately 2-1/2 inches thick, while the superstructure is lined with Divinycell-core.
They recently added a bulbous bow which is much like a protruding bulb at the bow just below the waterline.The bulb modifies the way the water flows around the hull, reducing drag and thus increasing speed, range, fuel efficiency and stability.
